Being a Good Steward

Leaders are stewards.  What is stewardship?  Taking care of something.

Being placed in a position of leadership simply means that you’ve been given something to care for.  It could be a team of people.  It could be a unique set of gifts and talents.  It could be finances.  It could be a classroom of students.  It could be a chore around the house.  It could be a patient.  I could be a family.  It could be all of the aforementioned . . .  and more!

And the measure of your leadership is, in fact, your level of stewardship.  How well you take care of whatever has been placed under your authority.  It doesn’t matter your level of responsibility is little or large . . . all that matters is how you care for what you’ve been given to care for.

No matter what’s yours to care for . . . . be a great steward this week.
